Municipal Court
Varnell Municipal Court is in charge of hearing misdemeanor citations and local ordinance violations that is have been issued within the City limits of Varnell. All felony cases are sent to Whitfield County Superior Court. Varnell Municipal Court is held the first three Mondays of every month with the exception of legal holidays. Court begins at 2:00 pm. - Online Payments- The court system does offer online payments. Not all citations may be paid online. If you have passed the Court date given by either the Court or the Officer, are under the age of 17 or have received a must appear violation you will not be able to make an online payment.
- Juvenile Citations- For all Juveniles 16 years or age or younger at the time of the incident will not be heard in Varnell Municipal Court. The cases once received are sent to Whitfield County Juvenile Court. Whitfield County Juvenile Court 205 N Selvidge St. Dalton, Ga 30720 (706)278-6558
- Probation Services- The Judge’s current probation service is Alternative Probation Services. Once the Judge has sentenced a case to probation all questions and concerns will need to go through the probation service.
